DESIS is an acronym for Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability.
It is also an international network of design labs actively involved in
promoting and supporting sustainable change (www.desis-network.org)

We aims at a transdisciplinary environment where people from diverse backgrounds collaborate to tackle complex issues of the contemporary society through design.

We develop concepts and techniques to implement 

and support social innovations and sustainable development.

The outcomes range from products, services, systems, to their mix. 

Our research topics include sustainable design, service design, product-service design (PSS), assistive design, co-design, nature-inspired design and UI/UX design.
